Tubular Breasts

"What does it mean if I have 'Tubular' breasts?"

Here are some examples of what are often referred to as 'Tubular Breasts.' These breasts are NOT shaped this way because they breastfed their children. They are this way because their genetics decreed their shape from the time of conception.

When a breast is used for breastfeeding, the shape of the breast tends to become somewhat elongated behind the nipple and that area becomes a little less dense than it is before they were lactating. These characteristics make it easier for an infant to suckle by including part of the areola in the mouth. The breast generally returns to its previous shape after the child is weaned from the breast. Of course, if the woman has aged a year or so since she conceived, her breasts will likely not be exactly as she remembered them. Women with a natural 'tubular' breast shape are very conducive to breastfeeding.
